The Grand Mother and the Youthful Rascals

The youth of the village thought this strange and went to Osabu's home to talk it over. "Well, so you have all come for a visit. Very well, sit over there on those rocks." And so Osabu got all of the youth to set down on the rocks.

No sooner had they done so than they we stuck fast to the rocks. Not a single one of them could budge. At that moment Osamu called out to the Gods of Heaven. "I call on you to punish these young rascals who would take unfair advantage of an old woman who can not see!" no sooner had she spoken than a driving rain began to pour and a typhoon began to blow. But the village youth remained stuck fast to the stones and could not stand.
